What is Pikni and why isn't it about picnics?+
Pikni is the Croatian online platform for booking tables at restaurants, taverns, beach bars, rooftops and hotels on the Adriatic. The brand 'Pikni' means 'pick your table' in Croatian. It is not related to picnics in nature, picnic events, or the Piknik in the Park festival.
Do I need an account to book a table?+
No. Enter your name, email and phone — and your reservation is confirmed. We email you a magic link to view, change or cancel without a password.
Which cities and venue types does Pikni cover?+
Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Šibenik, Pula, Rovinj, Zagreb and the rest of the Croatian coast. Restaurants, taverns, fine dining, beach bars, rooftops and hotels — all hand-approved partners.
Is the reservation free for the guest?+
Yes, always free for the guest. Pikni charges the partner venue a monthly fee only — no hidden charges for users.
How can a restaurant owner apply?+
Through the partners page — fill a short form, our team manually reviews and after activation you get a mobile-first admin panel, live notifications and an embed for your own website.
Does Pikni integrate with Google reservations?+
Yes. Phase 1 works today — every Pikni restaurant gets a unique booking link that goes into Google Business Profile so Google shows a 'Book online' button. Phase 2 is the full 'Reserve with Google' integration where Pikni pushes real-time availability to Google.
